We are a small hobby breeder therefore we do not have a large facility and our kennel setup here is very basic and simple inside our home. We call this page "the dog room" but it really demonstrates our "kennel" setup.
We live in a 3 level backsplit home right in town, something we hope to change in the near future!
The playpen is just on the left as soon as you walk in the door. Most of the dogs prefer it to a crate and they manage to have quite a bit of fun while they are in there.
We put a little dog house in there for them. If they are sleeping there is usually 2 or 3 dogs in the "house". If they are playing, they like to go hide in the house and tease everyone else from the doorway.
View from above. I keep a diaper genie next to their pen at all time as well as a mop in the hall way for quick easy cleanups when there is a mess.
Oh! Inya popping her head out to make sure she's in the picture!
More of a front view when walking in their room.
Kingsley is upset because i gave him a pink bed! We use the cabinets for the dogs's bedding and one for some supplements or medications. We keep an incubator and nebulizer handy in case of emergencies or if we must handrear puppies. Not an item that is needed often, but it can be life saving when it is needed!
The dogs's yard. We are getting ready to change the yards around. In the winter, we keep the dogs on the cement patio. They will soon have a section in the backyard as with living in a subdivision, there is too much commotion on the streets. They stay much quieter in the back for summertime and they really do enjoy running on the grass!
Maya is flying! On the prowl to nip Cinner in the butt!
When we are outside with them, they get full run of the yard, it's a blast to watch them go!
Looks like I'm being watched! Wonder if it's the toy or the camera they want!
Uh Ooooh Cosmo better not let dad see him in his garden!!! Shhhh!!!
Cosmo spending some time away from the girls. We asked Brenda at Komfortkrates to make us som crate pads with bumpers that tie to the crate. We like to put the dogs in wire crates when they need caging so they can see and be in a bright room. The dogs would often get their legs caught in the wire below the door running out, so these crate pads prevent this from happening. Each and everyone of them is made exactly to the measurements required and fit perfectly and are reversible!
Kingsley in his Komfortkrate bed. The bottom side is the same color as Cosmos, i wanted a colorful less warm fabric on one side. These beds wash wonderfully. Brenda also makes wonderful kangooroo leather showleads, feel free to contact her for your own custom orders! Her work is wonderful!
Raising the puppies start in our computer room. The pups normally spend the first 6-8 wks of their life in this room, and then get moved to the livingroom for more socialization.

Last but not least, babies and new moms start out in a small crate until mom is bonded enough to want to stay with her babies. Mom is usually in the computer room during the day and in our bedroom at night.
Mama Mia cleaning babies!
This is it, nothing fancy, definitely not our dream setup, but it works for the Mythical Poms!
